ABOUT THE COMPANY

At Excel at Uni, our commitment lies in assisting deserving students in accessing the financial support they need for their education. This AURA AMS application form collects information from students seeking funding for the current academic year (2023). As funds become available, we access this database to identify students who meet the eligibility criteria at that time. 

 

About The Bursary

The available funding opportunities serves as a commitment to skills development, meaningful socio-economic transformation, and the country’s broader development agenda. 

 

In most instances you can expect theThe sponsorship to offers the following:

  1. Full bursaries to attend ANY registered higher education institution covering tuition, textbooks, accommodation, food, and other approved necessities.
  2. On-going psycho-social support provided by Excel@Uni.
  3. Light-touch mentorship for developing essential skills imperative for personal and professional growth.  
  4. The goal is to fund students in the following faculties: Commerce, Science, Engineering & Built Environment 

However, full details of what is covered by the sponsorship will always be confirmed by the donor during the drafting of the award letter. 

Who Can Apply

  1. Applicants must be under 35 years of age.   
  2. Applicants must be South African citizens.
  3. Applicants must require funding for the 2023 academic year.
  4. Applicants must be pursuing a FULL-TIME qualification (Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Degree, Masters, Etc) 
  5. Applicants must be pursuing their qualification-level for the first time (ie, not repeating a degree, honours, etc)
  6. Applicants must be pursuing a qualification or intending to pursue a qualification at any tertiary institution registered with DHET and SAQA. (This includes private/community colleges and TVETS) 
  7. Please do not apply if you already have a contract to receive full or partial funding for the 2023 academic year

  • Please ensure that you attach ALL of the Required Documents

Funding will be allocated as applications are received, so please submit timeously.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail once we have received your application.

You will be advised if your application is unsuccessful. Only shortlisted applicants will be invited to interviews.

Required Documents

Please prepare the following documents:

    All Applicants

    1. Certified ID 
    2. Proof of Income (combine into one document/scan for all household members, incl. SASSA & affidavits) 
    3. Proof of Registration for 2023
    4. Latest Official Transcript, reflecting all tertiatry academic years to date.
    5. Matric Certificate (certified by commissioner of Oaths or police station) 

For applicants under the age of 18, to comply with POPI regulations a signed consent form completed by your parent/legal guardian along with a certified copy of their proof of identity is required.
